Payments and delivery confirmation
Payments on U-take go through Stripe. Money is authorised when you accept a deal and released after delivery is confirmed. Utake OÜ does not hold your funds like a bank.
This Resource Centre is for information only. It is a general guide, not legal advice, and it does not replace laws, regulations, or official sources. U-take is not responsible if you rely on it.
Authorising payment
Once both sides lock an agreement in chat, the sender authorises payment. That covers the contribution to the traveller plus the platform fee where it applies. Until delivery is confirmed, the setup is meant so neither side is stuck with an unpaid delivery or an unpaid contribution after a completed delivery.
Delivery confirmation
Delivery is confirmed in the app, including with a delivery code. After that confirmation, the traveller’s payout can go through Stripe’s delayed payout process, subject to Stripe’s checks and rules.
Cancellations and refunds
You can withdraw a request before there is a binding agreement and before payment is authorised. After a binding agreement, cancellation usually needs both sides to agree. Refunds follow Stripe’s procedures. The platform fee is not refundable once users have been matched, except where the law says otherwise.
Disputes
U-take is an intermediary. We do not decide disputes between users. Talk to the other person first. For account or payment-process questions, email contact@u-take.app.
